This guide will walk you through the process of replacing a dead or dying battery in a Motorola Moto G4 Plus phone.

    • Hold your Motorola G4 Plus face down. Pry off the rear cover using a spudger or your fingers.

    • Remove the nineteen (19) 3.0 mm T3 Torx screws securing the midframe.

    • Remove the small silicon cover to the left of the camera using tweezers.

    • Using the spudger tool, lift up the cable found underneath the silicon cover.

    • Remove the back panel assembly.

    • Using tweezers, remove the yellow stickers and black film connecting the battery to the motherboard.

    • Using tweezers, disconnect the red and black battery cable from the motherboard.

    • Pry off the battery using a spudger.

    • The battery is kept in place with a strong adhesive. It may require some jostling to remove.
