This guide will show you how to remove and replace the speakers due to various problems. They may need to be repaired due to water intrusion or excessive use.

    • Place the tablet face down on a flat surface with the charger facing toward you.

    • Use a plastic opening tool to pry the back panel off of the device.

    • Be careful to not use the plastic opening tool near the charging dock or any media ports.

    • Lift the retaining flaps fastening the screen ribbon cord to the screen circuit board using a plastic opening tool.

    • Pull the ribbon cord out of its slot.

    • Unscrew the Phillips head HH0 3mm screws holding down the right speaker.
