Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove all eighteen 2.12 mm screws from the back plate of your Acer Aspire.

Use the spudger to remove the back plate in the highlighted area to carefully pop out the back plate.

Unplug the power jack from the receptor port on the motherboard, highlighted in red.

Remove the power jack from designated area on the side of the computer, highlighted in orange.
